In collaboration with the co-founders of the original EXIT project and the anticipated International Post Collision Care Centre, this Investigation of minimally assisted vs self and conventional extrication of people form vehicles following road traffic collisio ns project at University of Dundee will seek to add knowledge to remaining questions.
Context
Road traffic collisions are a leading cause of death worldwide; indeed, road traffic injuries are the number one cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years, and, more than 90% of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. The UK Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety offers five pillars of action for creating safe roads and culture, including post-crash response.
