Our DClinDent Endodontology is one of only four specialty training opportunities available in the UK. This doctorate-level programme offers academic, professional and clinical training for qualified dental graduates.

You'll build expertise in diagnosing and managing complex endodontic cases. You'll refine your treatment planning and practical skills. You'll also enhance your understanding of evidence-based research.

Career

The Endodontology programme from The University of Lancashire will lead to the opportunity to qualify as a specialist in endodontology. You'll also have a doctorate qualification suitable for a future academic career.

Completion of clinical training provides the opportunity to apply for the membership examinations of the Royal Colleges for endodontology and become a specialist.

General requirements

Applicants should be an experienced dentist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience on commencement of the course

Applicants must be registered with an appropriate regulatory body and be a practising dentist

Competency in English language (IELTS Level 7 or equivalent) is required

All suitable applicants will be interviewed which will include a discussion of the proposed research area

Satisfactory Occupational Health Clearance and DBS are required

Applicants are required to submit a CV and portfolio of 10 clinical cases to detail academic and professional experience and two references, including one from a Senior Practitioner or Manager with their application.
