Overview
This Stem Cell Biology programme from University of Nottingham is focused on this urgent need, whereby, we create mechanistic knowledge and toolsets that underpin multi-modal therapeutics using tissue, cells, genes, proteins, glycans and small molecules designed to slow, reverse and/or cure disease.
The models span the generation of patient-matched stem cells and their differentiation to specific cell types representative of the heart, liver, lungs, blood, immune cells, gut, eye and brain.
Why choose to do a PhD with this research group?
This offers a supportive and collaborative environment with the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in areas of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine that transcend biological and physical sciences. This is underpinned by internationally recognised leadership in the field of regenerative medicine and access to state-of-the-art research infrastructure.
