Overview

The Agroforestry programme offered by the Bangor University offers 'split' PhD/MPhil programmes for international students with part of the study taking place in the student's own country or a third country. Many of our British and other European students also carry out fieldwork overseas for their research.

Forestry is concerned with the understanding and sustainable management of forests for the benefit of society. Research students enjoy access to fantastic facilities for practical work, including plantation forests at our 252-hectare research centre at Henfaes and glass houses, laboratories, a rhizotron, and a natural hardwood forest at our Botanic Garden.
