Overview

The Archaeology or Anthropology programme from The University of Lancashire provides a diverse and dynamic environment for postgraduate research students. 

We have a highly productive group of academic staff, all of whom are research active, working on ground-breaking projects. 

Our staff have a proven track-record as research degree supervisors: over the past ten years 22 students have successfully completed research degrees in these subjects. Our expertise covers humanities, social sciences and science, and field-based research.

What you'll do

• Research degrees allow you to work on a project of your choice, producing a dissertation which is a significant and original contribution to knowledge.

• You will work with a supervisory team of two experienced members of staff and meet regularly with your Director of Studies to guide your research.

• You may also broaden your knowledge by attending modules from taught programmes in the school.
