History
Eindhoven University of Technology is a young university, founded in 1956 by industry, local government and academia. Today, their spirit of collaboration is still at the heart of our university community. We foster an open culture where everyone feels free to exchange ideas and take initiatives.
Education
For engineering and technology studies, students in the Netherlands are best off in Eindhoven. This is evident from the Elsevier publication of Best Studies 2018. In addition, it appears that students in Eindhoven are particularly enthusiastic about their study at TU/e.
Research
TU/e is leading in the international research arena in the field of engineering science and technology. Our close collaboration with industry and healthcare institutes allows us to translate our research findings into products and services that help solve major societal problems, for instance in the areas of health, energy and mobility.
Their first position for scientific output in collaboration with industry underscores the unique, close research & development relationship between TU/e and the high-tech companies in the surrounding Brainport area and the rest of the Netherlands.
Career
TU/e aims to be a welcoming, inspiring and challenging home for you as a student. But your relationship with TU/e does not end when you graduate. We want to be there for you throughout your career.
Your Bachelor of Science or Master of Science diploma is, of course, a great foundation for a thriving career in industry. Studies show that companies and governments appreciate the skills and knowledge of TU/e graduates.
But perhaps you want to study some more before you set out on the labor market. Or perhaps you want to invest in ongoing education, even after your career has started to take off.

Apart from the university, around 100 companies and organisations are accommodated on the campus, from large research institutes to smaller start-ups. The TU/e campus wants to be a place where these parties connect and therefore offers various accommodation possibilities.
Library services
The TU/e Library provides access to an extensive collection of digital information resources via the Internet. In the library in MetaForum building a large printed collection is at your disposal.
The main subject areas are technical sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, industrial and management sciences, social sciences, architectural sciences, and industrial design.
Campus life
The green campus is becoming an attractive hotspot for students, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and high-tech companies with state-of-the-art offline and online facilities. The campus is a terrain in development, but it is already a lively, green place in the city center of Eindhoven.
The TU/e Campus is not only a place of study and work, but also a home. Since the opening of the Aurora and Luna apartment blocks, hundreds of students and staff of different nationalities are resident here, turning our green campus in the heart of Eindhoven a lively and very dynamic place. A movie theater with a grand café/restaurant, a sports center and two supermarkets all contribute to a pleasant place to live and stay.
Sports facilities
Sport is central in Eindhoven and at the university. The Student Sport Center Eindhoven(SSC) is the most extensive of all Dutch universities, offering all students and staff of TU/e, Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven and Design Academy Eindhoven sport (70 sports), recreation, health and relaxation. My sTU/edy experience
At the Eindhoven University of Technology every slogan, activity, etc. will have a pun with TU/e in it. First I thought it was silly, but now I enjoy everyone of them. I'm not a genius, so studing applied physics at the TU/e is not easy for me. But I take my courses seriously, most of the time, and by doing many old exams during my preparation, I was able to pass all the courses so far. In each period we have 3 courses. Usually, I'm on track with 2 of them and the 3rd one I have to catch up a bit during the pre-exam week, when there are (almost) none lectures. The lectures of the (core) courses are either given by multiple professors at the same time and you can choose which one you will attend or the professor will be replaced one or multiple times. I really like this system, because I'm not stuck with a professor I don't really enjoy listening to for a whole period. It's also nice, that the most lectures are recorded and if you want to you can (re)watch the lecture from home (at 2x speed). Some points about the university in general: I like the bridges that connect different buildings on campus. I like that there are many places for studying in each building. Every professor or TA is easy approachable and was friendly. The university and our study association organize many activities. From 'interviewing days' (different companies try to attract students and give away different stuff) and professional trainings to trips and funny activities like lasergaming. It's also very nice that the campus is in the city centre and is accessible by train, bike and car. The campus is not the most handsome one, but it's very modern. I would appreciate if the university add/replace the statues we have with statues that are not just stones, but actually a peace of art. Sometimes the university plans things strangly.
Amazing university
My time at this university has been awesome. The professors and staff really go all out to help us students, and the support team, theyre just top-notch. Coming in as an international student, I was pretty nervous, but the mix of people from literally everywhereevery continent, basicallymade it so easy to feel at home. I even met folks from countries Id never even heard of! All in all, its been such a great ride.
Biochemistry programs with room for growth
Studying Biochemistry at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) was both challenging and enriching. The programme is well-structured with a good balance between theory and practicals. I particularly appreciated the dedication of some lecturers who made complex topics easier to grasp and were always ready to support students academically. The laboratory facilities, though sometimes lacking in certain reagents and equipment, provided a decent environment for practical learning. Campus life was vibrant, with various student activities and organizations to engage in outside academics. However, delays in the academic calendar due to strikes and infrastructural challenges were a downside. Despite these setbacks, I would recommend FUTO to anyone passionate about Biochemistry. The programme builds a strong foundation and opens opportunities for further research or a career in the sciences.
