Faculty of Pharmacy at Faculty of Pharmacy Novi Sad

Faculty of Pharmacy is a department of the accredited European University, which operates under the provisions of the Law on high education of the Republic of Serbia and in accordance with the Bologna Declaration requirements. The European University is the first private University in Serbia, whose owner and founder is professor emeritus PhD Milija Zecevi´c, rector of the University.

The curricula of integrated academic studies of Pharmacy and Pharmacy-Medical Biochemistry are divided into five years of schooling that ultimately lead to the titles ‘Master of Pharmacy’ and ‘Master of Pharmacy - Medical Biochemist’. The curriculum is modeled on analogous programs of the top European Universities with long traditions and modern understandings. On that note, the curriculum of the study program ‘Pharmacy’ is in accordance with the curricula of: Farmaceutická fakulta Univerzita Karlova v Prague (The Czech Republic ), School of Pharmacy of the University of Athens (Greece), Fakulteta za farmacijo Univerza v Ljubljani (Slovenia) and others, while the study program ‘Pharmacy – Medical Biochemistry’ is in concord with programs of: Institute of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences, University Claude Bernard, Lyon 1 (France), Facultad de Farmacia, Universidad de Granada (Spain), Faculdade de Farmacia, Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal),Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Gent (Belgium) and others. This fact provides closeness of the Faculty diploma to diplomas of foreign Universities.

Absolute priority and accent in the curricula of the Faculty is given to preparation of future pharmacists for facing real situations in which they will be found by the end of the studies. Therefore, after a brief but concise theoretical introduction, the students are taught through a systemic processing and analysis of problems, through practical lectures, many study visits (to pharmacies, to medical and scientific organizations, to industry…) and compulsory internship with a large number of classes – we want our students to really learn and ‘feel’, at the Faculty, everything that they will deal with after the studies. Preliminary exams and exams are then just a confident reproduction of things explained, demonstrated and experienced on practical classes.

The vision and mission of the Faculty

The vision of the Faculty is to provide education, with high standards of teaching, to students who will become the benchmark of quality and knowledge of modern skills, in the rank of the students of prestigious European universities.

The mission of the Faculty is to prepare future pharmacists, in a proper way, for real situations in the workplace in which they will be found by the end of the study.
