History
In the 1880s, New Garden Boarding School transitioned into a four-year liberal arts college and rechartered as Guilford College in 1888. It is the oldest coeducational college in the South, with male and female faculty and graduating both men and women in the first class.
Education
Qualifications range from entry level to degree level, in a wide range of subjects, many of which you can’t study at school! Success rates are higher than national benchmarks and many of our students go on to work in local commerce and industry, benefitting the surrounding region with their talents and skills.
