Student services

When you enrol on your programme of study at OnCampus you will be assigned a Personal Tutor, who is responsible for ensuring you have adequate academic support during your time with us.

Your Personal Tutor is the first person you should go to if you have a problem: if they can’t help you, they will be able to direct you to someone who can.

In addition, your Centre Head, Deputy Centre Head, Student Recruitment and Support Officer, and Curriculum Information Officer are always pleased to be able to help you with any issues you may be having.

Housing services

Living in university accommodation is a fantastic way to start your student life and make new friends quickly. All OnCampus students are guaranteed safe and secure accommodation close to where they are studying.

The University has its own quality purpose-built accommodation, giving you the option of a single study-bedroom in a secure environment.

All accommodation is self-catered, with fully equipped kitchens. The accommodation also offers all-inclusive living, which includes heating, lighting and fuel costs in with the rent. Rent for university accommodation is among the cheapest in the country.

Library services

The newly refurbished Brynmor Jones Library is world class, combining printed materials and rare books with an unprecedented level of digital connectivity.

ICT services

  • Free Wifi

Medical services

Students registered in the UK for full-time courses of six months or more are eligible to receive full health care from the National Health Service (NHS) regardless of country of origin. You will have the same rights to health care as a UK resident. This means that you register with a GP (local doctor), receive hospital treatment, treatment for pre-existing conditions and full maternity services.

Campus life

The city of Hull is in the East Riding of Yorkshire, on the north bank of the Humber Estuary. It is a gateway to Europe and beyond, with strong transport connections to cities across the UK.

You have the best of all worlds at the University of Hull. Not only does the campus have beautiful surroundings and an abundance of outdoor leisure opportunities right on its doorstep, it is also easy to reach by road, rail, sea or air.

Direct trains to London take as little as two-and-a-half hours. By sea, daily overnight passenger ferries run from Hull to the Netherlands and Belgium. By air, nearby Humberside Airport has direct flights to Europe and a global reach via Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

Sports facilities

  • Everything you need closeby across the 125- acre site: from shops to sports facilities, from cafes to computer rooms, from nightlife to library.

Student clubs

Students from each course are elected by their peers to represent the views of students at the Staff-Student Liaison Committees. These meetings happen once a term and are designed to improve the management and enhancement of your programmes of study.

Staff and students consult each other on all aspects of their learning experience and future developments. Students Reps will communicate with their peers to gather feedback on their courses and attend meetings to discuss this feedback in centre and then with the other students representatives nationally once a term.

It’s a great thing to put on a CV and will impress prospective employers.
