The research is performed in four areas of scientific activity. A major part of the research projects are carried out in the area of business administration, as well as in the priority area to the Latvian state the tourism business.
Professional orientation of Turiba University which allows students to gain work experience already during studies in each year of studies by offering wide apprenticeship opportunities serves a basis of the high employment rate.
Already during studies it is possible to acquire real skills and experience necessary for the work. Studies are not based just on the academic materials and theoretical tasks; thereby students are more competitive at the labour market.
Employers approve practical experience, therefore when recruiting young people, preferences are given to those young people who have gained experience with an employer in their chosen field.
There is a youth hostel in the campus of Turiba University which offers accommodation both for permanent and short visits.
There are 189 facilitated rooms in the youth hostel. The total number of seats exceeds 700. Shared shower premises and toilets are landscaped, and there are two kitchens in the each of hotel’s floors.
Turiba University offers to use a new computerized modern access library with literature issue and electronic registration of receipt, and electronic catalogue of books and periodicals, as well.
The mission of the library is providing studies, after-diploma training and scientific work with the latest textbooks and scientific literature according to study programmes and research directions.

Students' Council is a non-profit organization which runs in order improve the daily life of students in the University. Every single student is invited to participate in the Council as becoming a member of it, as well as, to realize student projects, organize student events and gain wide range of qualities for the further professional career.
