Library services

The James J. Shea Sr. Memorial Library contains more than 76,000 volumes and 14,900 bound periodicals, plus subscriptions to more than 400 current periodicals. Through online database access, innumerable educational resources are available to our students.

ICT services

The College has completed a technology transformation that includes a new wireless network covering the campus inside and out, along with new desktop computers for staff and new laptop computers for faculty. AIC was the first area college to switch to a VoIP phone system, which offers unified calling and messaging, plus access to voice messages in your email and faxes from your computer.

Medical services

Since September 1989, Massachusetts law, G.L. c. 15A, Section 18 has required every full-time and part-time student enrolled in an institution of higher learning in Massachusetts to participate in a Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) or in a health benefit plan with comparable coverage. A part-time student is defined as a student participating in at least 75% of the full-time curriculum.

Campus life

Hines Hall was named in honor of Admiral John F. Hines, who served the college as president from 1953-1969. This eight-story building houses over 200 first-year students and is co-ed by floor. Hines features two lounges, two laundry rooms, and a kitchenette, and each student room has WiFi. The campus police department is located in Hines and is staffed 24/7. A front desk attendant monitors access to the building at night.

Sports facilities

  • Our mission at AIC is to transform lives. And this involves paying equal attention to students’ minds, hearts, and bodies.
  • So when it comes to keeping students’ bodies strong, we’ve got you covered with our Falconer Fitness Center featuring a 10-station Paramount circuit, Stairmasters, Precor treadmills, ellipticals, stationery bikes, and complete locker room facilities. Plus intramurals and club sports that let you enjoy your favorite sports in a no-pressure environment. And of course, the Yellow Jackets, AIC’s NCAA sports teams, offer student athletes another opportunity to push themselves.

Student clubs

  • Participating in student clubs and organizations is a great way to get involved at AIC and immerse yourself in our community. It’s also a way to meet new people, explore career opportunities, and have a huge impact on campus events.
  • Want to get even more involved? Each club or organization has several students who take on leadership roles to help guide the organization at a higher level. Become a club or organization officer and take on this exciting leadership opportunity.
  • Don’t see something that interests you? Visit us on the second floor of Schwartz Campus Center and learn how to start a new group.

Agriculture

I have liked the relationship between agriculture and the environment . This is because it's Man's sorounding. Afforestation and re-aforestation should be improved to ensure continued supply of oxygen. The oxygen therefore can be used to support life of living things hence improving people's standards of living. In summary, mixed farming should be practiced by the farmers so as to fetch double income
