Officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture since 1998, IESA offers a unique combination of academic knowledge and professional skills, which students can put into practice in jobs in France and abroad.

History

Founded in 1985 by Françoise and Jean-Marie Schmitt, the Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts (IESA) is a private educational group based in Paris, France.  It has been officially recognized by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication since 1998.

Education

The programs in all three departments of our international art school combine academic knowledge with practical skills, in the form of internships and projects.  Professors, curators, professionals and consultants all participate in this two-pronged pedagogical approach, designed to train students for the professional world.

Career

  • The transition to working life is facilitated by the internship office and the teaching staff, who provide students with individual guidance throughout the job-finding process.  In addition, each student is paired with a mentor who helps with important professional decisions.

  • IESA’s professional network in France and abroad includes professors (more than 350 per year), partner organizations, and 14,000 alumni.  It allows students to be at the center of artistic and cultural discussions, innovations, and projects, and benefit from useful contacts.

Transforming Perspectives

My academic journey in design has been transformative. After earning a first-level diploma in Communication Design at IAAD in Turin, I enrolled in the two-year Master’s program in Communication and Digital Product Design at ISIA Florence. This program has broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of design, blending critical thinking with advanced technical skills. It has helped me build on my foundation, expanding my knowledge and equipping me to approach complex projects with confidence and creativity. This experience continues to inspire my growth as a designer.

Vocational training review

It was quite satisfying because I learnt how to deal with customers. Also a lot of communication skills and how to make my own company from the beginning. I don't think this has anything to improve, to be honest. So this is why I really recommend studying this vocational traning.
