Research

We use our research to inspire and inform our students and collaborate on projects with partners from other universities and from industry.

Our teams are exploring topics as diverse as health and wellbeing, criminology, education, the arts and creative industries, and much more. Our researchers’ focus is on making discoveries that can be used to benefit us all. It’s research with a purpose, helping us to move forward, overcome obstacles and bring about change.

Recent projects include: exploring how to ensure greater inclusion for young people with special educational needs and disability; creating high-quality safe sound systems for outdoor events and home listening; and studies into the power of nature to improve wellbeing.

Career

The Careers and Employment Service is proud to support all of our students on their journey towards their future career. No matter what course you’ve chosen or what your previous experience is, we will provide one- to- one, tailored support, with access to services and programmes to help you reach your career goal.

This high level of support means that we are accredited to the matrix Standard, the Department for Education’s measure of high-quality careers information, advice and guidance.
