History
- 1887: RMIT is established as the Working Men’s College in Melbourne, Australia.
- 1934: A new name, Melbourne Technical College, is adopted.
- 1960: The College Council adopts a new name, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
- 1992: The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology is granted university status, becoming RMIT University.

Library services
RMIT University Vietnam has a large collection of online resources, including databases and e-journals, accessible by students, alumni and staff. Choose from over 600 databases, 130,000 e-journals, 500,000 ebooks and 130,000 streaming videos, audio, subject guides and more.
Medical services
Just like with any other medical centre, you can make an appointment to come in and talk about anything that may be on your mind in relation to your health, whether it's good or bad. The health centre offers routine medical consultations for acute conditions, general health education and advice, emergency services and referrals to specialist services as necessary.

Saigon South Campus
- Located in Tan Hung ward, Ho Chi Minh city, RMIT Vietnam’s Saigon South campus is a purpose-built, contemporary educational facility of an international standard.
Hanoi Campus
- Located in Giang Vo ward, RMIT Vietnam’s Hanoi campus has about 1,400 students studying business and management, IT, communication and English.
