Housing services

Finding housing in Stockholm as a student can be tricky. Below we have listed some useful tips and links to help you find accommodation in Stockholm.Tuition-fee paying students are guaranteed accommodation through KI Housing for their first year, but must still apply for this on time. For other students, it is vital to start looking for somewhere to live as soon as you can. There is a lack of student accommodation in the Stockholm area, and it may take a whole semester to find a room.

Library services

Karolinska Institutet University Library (KIB) is the largest medical library in Sweden.Through the library you have access to scientific information, different tools, and library expertise, both in the physical libraries in Huddinge and Solna, and through the virtual library.

The IT Offices follows KI's regulations due to the coronavirus outbreak. To minimize the risk of infection, IT Support uses remote support as much as possible.

There, adults and children can receive treatment for illnesses and non-urgent or non life-threatening medical problems. A primary-care doctor can also refer you to a specialist, if necessary.

Campus life

Education and research at Karolinska Institutet is mainly conducted on two campuses: KI Campus Solna and KI Campus Flemingsberg.

Solna and Huddinge are two of Stockholm's neighbouring counties, Solna to the northwest and Huddinge/Flemingsberg to the south. A 10-15 minute walk or train ride is all it takes get into the city from either campus.

In addition to our campus areas, KI also has established cooperation with several hospitals in and around Stockholm city.

Sports facilities
