Kent is a top UK and global University, known for its teaching excellence, and for the interdisciplinary nature of its programmes and research. We understand that postgraduate students need flexibility, so many of our taught and all of our research degrees offer September or January starts. Many of our courses will consider applicants either holding or projected 2:2 UK Bachelors degree or equivalent, we also offer distance-learning options and short courses.

Student services
The Student Record Administration Office (SRAO) teams are responsible for student registration, Online Module Registration, record updating, operational management of exams (including adapted arrangements), exam result processing, current and alumni document processing, timetabling and academic data changes.
The Student Services Directorate is responsible for many of the non-academic aspects of the student experience.
We provide a distinct range of services with an emphasis on student welfare (including community and belonging), pastoral support, and employability. Student Services also has a role to proactively encourage good student conduct and promote positive relations with the local community.

Library services
Your library wherever you are
At Kent you can access high-quality digital resources, such as e-book, e-journals, databases, newspapers, and multi-media – anytime, anywhere. The Templeman Library is at the heart of the Canterbury campus and provides study spaces, PCs, a large collection of books and journals and more. At Medway, Kent students can access the Drill Hall Library.ICT services
Information Services provide IT and library services for all students, staff and visitors that help everyone connect, create and communicate at Kent.

Medical services
If you're living on, or within six miles of, the Canterbury campus you should register with the University's Medical Centre, which also has a Psychological Therapies department.
The Canterbury campus also has a 24-hour (term-time) Nursing Service.
If you're studying in Medway, you can register with St Mary’s Island Surgery, local to the Medway campus.
Campus life
Kent Business School has programmes across both our Canterbury and Medway campuses. Our Medway campus is a smaller, close knit community closer to London, whereas Canterbury offers a traditional university experience, discover what is right for you.
Sports facilities
The University of Kent’s Department of Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation, is situated at the Sports Centre on the Canterbury campus and oversees the University’s recreational facilities and development of sport at Kent.
With a dedicated Sports Development team, fully qualified Health and Fitness instructors and support staff – the department offers a wide range of services and caters for over 50 different activities, from badminton to zumba and basketball to spinning.
Student clubs
Student Activities are at the heart of Kent Union, offering many ways to get involved in Student Groups. Student Groups are student-run communities with shared aims or interests, ranging from sports to charitable causes. They organise everything from regular meetups and social events, to offering academic support or international trips.
Any Kent student can join one of over 250 groups, with new ones forming all the time. By joining, you’ll meet people with similar interests, have fun, and develop transferable skills.
