Research in Film at QMUL is organised into four main areas, the Centre for Film and Ethics, Film Cultures, Film Philosophy, and Film Practice. We are always interested in receiving applications from highly qualified prospective PhD students wishing to work with us in these general research areas.

    PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

  • Degree transcripts. Please provide a transcript of your degree(s). If you have not yet completed your degree please provide a transcript of your results achieved to date
  • Please provide the contact details of two referees on your application, at least one reference must be from an academic referee who is in a position to comment on the standard of your academic work and suitability for postgraduate level study. Where appropriate, a second referee can provide comment on your professional experience.
