Programme Structure

The program offers three research specializations at the doctoral level:

  • Analytics and decision support
  • Information assurance and computer security
  • Healthcare information systems
Each of these specializations includes a series of courses that will familiarize you with the most contemporary issues in the field.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

To apply, you need to have:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an institution with full regional accreditation for that degree.
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • Satisfactory GRE scores on a test taken within the last five years.
  • Essential knowledge in both business fundamentals and information systems.

The knowledge requirement can be met in a variety of ways, including: an undergraduate degree in MIS; specific undergraduate or graduate coursework that covers required knowledge; appropriate, verifiable IS/IT or management experience.
