About

Industrial Hygiene (IH) is the science and art devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, prevention, and control of workplace contaminants and stressors that may cause sickness, injury, impaired health or impaired well-being among workers or among citizens of the community.

In addition to basic Industrial Hygiene courses, we also offer multidisciplinary training in ergonomics, occupational safety, and aerosol science, specialized in bioaerosols and nanoparticles.

Our program emphasizes hands-on and technical skills, so students get the training that is necessary to succeed upon graduation. Our graduates have obtained employment at national laboratories, government agencies, private industries, universities, and consulting firms as occupational health managers, professors, and practitioners.
