General requirements
- You will normally have completed a Masters degree in a relevant subject and have gained at least a merit pass or equivalent. Relevant professional experience in theatre, film, television or interactive media production may also be taken into consideration.
- You will need to submit a proposal setting out: the research question(s) that the PhD will address; a clear indication of the methodologies to be adopted; a summary of the relevant scholarly field or context that the project will engage with and contribute to; and a provisional bibliography (see Preparing a PhD Proposal). You will also normally be required to provide a writing sample.
