Overview
Enrich your career as a mental health practitioner by earning a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology from the University of the Pacific. Our EdD program consists of a two-to-three-year course of study for those who already hold a Master's degree or a four-to-five-year course of study for those with a Bachelor's degree.
Experts in the field of educational psychology help children learn in safe, healthy and supportive environments. Trained in both psychology and education, these professionals apply their interdisciplinary skill-set to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs, assess students' learning abilities and partner with educators, parents, and other mental health professionals to help students reach their full potential.
Concentration
By choosing the Counseling Psychology concentration at University of the Pacific, you may be able to sit for the State Board of Psychology examination for licensure as a psychologist in the State of California. You'll need to complete additional coursework beyond the 18 units required by this concentration in order to meet licensure requirements.
