Overview
Education
Qualified students of engineering, mathematics, physics, or an allied science may pursue the MS or PhD in solid mechanics or fluid mechanics.
Specific applications of mechanics research include nanotechnology, soft matter, cell mechanics, composite materials, multiscale modeling, sensor development, nondestructive evaluation, transportation materials and vehicles, earthquake, and material and structural design with uncertainty quantification. The Theoretical and Applied Mechanics program is offered by Northwestern University.

- TGS will accept applications from international students with 3-year bachelor's degrees.
- You may be considered for admission before you finish your undergraduate degree, but you must complete that degree before you enroll at Northwestern.
