- The breadth requirement consists of course work including microeconomic theory, game theory, information economics, corporate finance theory, and asset pricing. The research foundation requirement consists of graduate course work in mathematical economics, statistics, or econometrics.
- Students demonstrate competency in conducting research by completing a research project in the summer of the first year. Teaching competence is demonstrated by completing a teaching traning class and by teaching for at least one 1 semester.
