Overview
The DPhil Medieval and Modern Languages programme at University of Oxford enables you to acquire the research skills necessary to complete a substantial piece of original research.
Features
- You will work under the guidance of a supervisor who is a specialist in their subject. In cases where two areas of expertise are essential, joint supervision will be arranged.
- We will also work with you in developing the skills you will need to transition to academic and non-academic careers with our partners in the University’s Career Services.
Programme Structure
Curriculum:
- As a part-time student you will be required to attend seminars, supervision meetings, and other obligations in Oxford for a minimum of 12 weeks (60 days) each year.
- There will be flexibility in the dates and pattern of attendance, which will be determined by mutual agreement with your supervisor.
- Attendance will be required during term-time on dates to be determined by mutual agreement with your supervisor. Attendance will be required outside of term-time on dates to be determined by mutual agreement with your supervisor.
