- Letters of Recommendation
- Applicants to the Ph.D. program who hold the MS degree should have completed the requirements for the M.S. degree with at least a 3.5 grade-point average and should also have demonstrated creative ability.
- The M.S. degree is normally not required for admission to the Ph.D. program. Over the last five years, 50% to 80% of those admitted to the Ph.D. program have earned only a bachelor's degree.
- Admittees who hold the bachelor's degree only typically have earned at least a 3.6 grade point average and have demonstrated a strong aptitude for graduate study and research in the GRE scores, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and research or industry experience.
