General requirements
- Letters of Recommendation: 3, from colleagues able to address both academic abilities and work-related experience.
- A master's degree in nursing showing completion of advanced practice coursework. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 and an official transcript is required for all master's degree coursework.
- Evidence documenting completion of a minimum of 500 clinical hours during the applicant's master's program or previous post-master's program; APRN national certification in one of the recognized APRN roles satisfies this requirement. Graduates of UCLA's APRN program complete over 700 clinical hours.
