General requirements
- Letters of Recommendation
- A bachelor's degree in a physical science, engineering, mathematics or other related field is required. Undergraduate students with a strong preparation in planetary science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, engineering, geology or geochemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must have outstanding records in the relevant basic sciences and mathematics. Qualified students may proceed directly toward the Ph.D., although most obtain the M.S. degree in the process.
