Aims of Development of a Low-Cost Autonomous Device for Colorectal Cancer Screening and Treatment project at University of Dundee
Our aim is to revolutionize the screening process by creating an autonomous device capable of conducting a comprehensive inspection of the large bowel and performing surgical tasks. To achieve this ambitious objective, the student will primarily concentrate on developing control strategies, including visual servoing, to improve the stability and precision of the device.

- The device will be constructed using soft materials or other cost-effective materials, allowing for affordability without compromising functionality. The candidate will have the exciting opportunity to explore innovative control strategies that enhance the device's stability and precision, considering the unique properties and characteristics of these materials.
- This project will take place at the University of Dundee, within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment involving the School of Medicine and the School of Science and Engineering, the Centre for Medical Engineering and Technology (CMET), at the Endorobotics Laboratory led by Dr. Luigi Manfredi.
