Overview
There is considerable overlap between the basic science and clinical areas of research. Regarding basic science the areas include mesothelial cell function in a number of scenarios (tumours, tendon degeneration etc) and EMG studies in common upper limb pathologies such as tennis elbow and rotator cuff pathologies.
The clinical research is orientated to understand the physiological basis of conditions that are frequently encountered in the clinic and to develop new treatment strategies.
