Overview
An important feature of the specialization is early exposure to research and active learning through a variety of course offerings. Enrolled students will take courses in advanced research methods, examine current issues in education, and explore fundamental assumptions of research methods through readings on the conduct of educational research.

- Expert faculty advisors at the GSE will mentor Ph.D. in Education candidates in the Statistics and Measurement specialization within the LCID concentration and guide them in developing the broad base of knowledge and skills needed to complete the program and research requirements.
- The Learning, Cognition, Instruction, and Development - Statistics and Measurement program at Rutgers University culminates in the completion of a dissertation in which students will propose, investigate, and report on a research question of their own in the field of educational statistics and measurement.
