Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) and their colleagues, doctors of allopathic medicine (MDs), are both licensed physicians qualified for the unlimited practice of medicine and surgery. So, in our ever-evolving world of patient-first care, what exactly is the difference? There are a few nuances, but here at RVU we like to say—DO’s do it all. The Osteopathic Medicine program is offered at Rocky Vista University.

A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university must be completed prior to matriculation.

Minimum prerequisite course work that must be completed prior to matriculation

A minimum science and cumulative GPA of 3.0 as calculated on the AACOMAS application.

Three required letters.

Demonstrated English language proficiency is required during the interview; preference will be given to applicants who have previously attended a regionally-accredited college or university in the U.S.
