The European and International Studies programme offered by King's College London has a wide range of expertise from critical theory to social sciences and political science, international political economy and heterodox economics. Through the activities of our research groups, we provide specific expertise in research designed to understand the European and global order. Our research contributes to academic scholarship and impacts public life, with staff actively engaging policymakers and politicians around the world. We have thriving postgraduate and early career researcher communities through which we are developing the next generation of scholars capable of tackling the European and global challenges of tomorrow.

- Research proposal of 1,500 words, to be uploaded on the portal.
- The name of your preferred supervisor
- Personal statement of 500 words, to be pasted in the ‘Supporting Statement’ box
- One academic reference which is recent and valid. You can invite your referee to upload their reference directly or you can upload copies of the reference letter to the online application form. References must be from a verified university or industry email address.
- A sample of your previous written work (typically, your Master’s dissertation)
- English language test certificate, unless you meet the criteria for an exemption.
- Details on how you will fund your studies.
- Applicants should normally hold an upper second class undergraduate degree and a masters degree obtained from a UK university or an overseas qualification of equivalent standard.
