General requirements
- Applicants should hold (or be expected to obtain) a first-class or strong upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline. An MSc degree is desirable, but not essential.
- Applicants from clinical or life sciences backgrounds with strong quantitative skills and an interest in computational methods, particularly AI, are also encouraged to apply. In those cases, the candidates will work with their supervisors at the early stages of their PhD to identify appropriate training opportunities.
