One of the pioneer excellence networks is NuGO (The European Nutrigenomics Organization), the most outstanding European exponent and world leader in Nutrigenomics; various members of the research teams of the PhD programme participated in the foundation of NuGO.

Careers

The future Doctors in Nutrigenomics and Personalised Nutrition will be able to undertake a career in research at research centres or work at academic institutions combining university research and teaching. They will also be able to undertake applied research on R&D&i projects at businesses in the food sector, or provide advice and consulting services in the field of nutrition and health.

General requirements

To access the PhD programme, different criteria will be taken into account, as explained below (with the percentage of value of each item to be evaluated):

  • Academic marks of the previous studies, including the weighted average of the graduate/bachelor and postgraduate studies (50%).
  • Valuation of the abilities and capabilities of the student to move with ease in a research environment (50%). Within this valuation different points will be considered:
  • Curriculum vitae (CV): the mark obtained (in the previous studies) in the Final Master’s Work will be considered, or the authorship of technical reports. 
  • Personal interview
