National University of Singapore - Business School

For more than 50 years, NUS Business School has offered a rigorous, relevant and rewarding business education to outstanding students from across the world. Founded in the same year that Singapore gained independence, NUS Business School stands today among the world’s leading business schools.

History

Started as the Department of Business Administration back in 1965, the same year as when Singapore gained independence, NUS Business School has come a long way in a short time. With a full-time staff strength of four then, we now have more than 130 faculty members, and more than 3,000 students.

Research

There are three research centres at the NUS Business School which specialise in topics that relate to their key expertise.

  • Centre on AI Technology for Humankind (AiTH): To advance the understanding of AI technology for the improvement of the human condition through innovative research, education and policy-making
  • Centre for Behavioural Economics (CBE): To be a leading research hub that studies economic decisions and their effects on market behaviours
  • Centre for Governance, Institutions & Organisations (CGIO): To provide thought leadership in areas of governance, institutions and organisations

In addition, research output by our faculty members has also gained the attention of industry leaders, policy makers as well as the media in and beyond Singapore.

Career

BIZCareers caters to all NUS Business School students, and they offer career skill workshops and counselling services to mould students into market-ready professionals. Networking sessions, recruitment presentations, corporate visits and industry forums are often organised for student-recruiter interaction. BIZCareers also fosters close partnerships with global corporate recruiters from across industries to match students with meaningful jobs and internships.
