History

Started as the Department of Business Administration back in 1965, the same year as when Singapore gained independence, NUS Business School has come a long way in a short time. With a full-time staff strength of four then, we now have more than 130 faculty members, and more than 3,000 students.

Education

The NUS Business School MBA is designed for professionals seeking advanced leadership and management skills in a global business context.

NUS Business School offers flexible study options, including formats with online learning components, though it is not a fully online MBA.

Research

There are three research centres at the NUS Business School which specialise in topics that relate to their key expertise.

  • Centre on AI Technology for Humankind (AiTH): To advance the understanding of AI technology for the improvement of the human condition through innovative research, education and policy-making
  • Centre for Behavioural Economics (CBE): To be a leading research hub that studies economic decisions and their effects on market behaviours
  • Centre for Governance, Institutions & Organisations (CGIO): To provide thought leadership in areas of governance, institutions and organisations

Library services

  • The Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library caters to the Business School with its rich collection of management, business and finance books, journals, audio-visual materials and digital resources.

The campus of NUS Business School is located within the National University of Singapore’s main campus, offering a modern and well-connected academic environment.

Student clubs

The Master’s Club (TMC) brings together all students who are currently in the MSc programmes and aims to connect them with past and future students. 

Helmed by student volunteers and supported by the MSc Programmes Office, TMC organises activities and seminars throughout the year to enrich and enhance the student experience. They also network with alumni on a regular basis to enable students to build meaningful connections and create a vibrant community.

CEMS Club Singapore is the local chapter of the CEMS student clubs that are present in each academic partner. The CEMS Club is the most important pillar of the CEMS student experience and the main structure designed to make the CEMS life real for students.
