Students in the Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program from University at Buffalo gain advanced knowledge and skills basic to the psychiatric nurse practitioner's (PMHNP) ability to:

- The School of Nursing reserves the right to change admission and program criteria to meet prevailing accreditation and registration requirements. Students who have been dismissed from other nursing programs are not eligible for admission.
- Letters of recommendations will be uploaded directly to the online application by the recommender. Please do not upload any screenshots of transcripts.
- In order to complete the application process applicants may be invited to an interview. An interview is required in all programs as part of the review process. Students will be contacted to set up an interview once their file has gone through a faculty review.
