Overview
Financial economics encompasses micro-investment theory, economics of uncertainty, the role of financial markets and institutions, the regulation of financial products, firms and markets, the theory of the firm, and corporate governance. The field is unique among the social sciences in that it has had a direct and significant influence on practice. This Finance program is offered at Emory University.
Features
In addition to classes, Goizueta features an extensive program of seminars and workshops at which current research will be presented by Goizueta faculty, faculty at other universities in the Atlanta area and at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and scholars from universities around the world. Students are expected to attend many of these seminars to gain exposure to ongoing research.

Bachelor's Degree
- We require a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. A master's degree is not necessary.
- Although there is no minimum score requirement, a good performance is weighted heavily by the Admissions Committee.
Successful TOEFL Test Score
- Required for all international applicants regardless of their academic experience or the age of their TOEFL score.

- We give considerable weight to letters of recommendation from faculty members that highlight a candidate's research potential, past academic achievements, and a commitment to scholarly endeavor.
