About the program
The Social Work - Gerontology program at Wayne State University enhances student knowledge of the diversity of older adults in terms of race, culture, socioeconomic status, and psychosocial and physical health status, and the consequences aging in political, economic, and program administration contexts.
The program promotes interdisciplinary collaboration as a key element of geriatric social work by providing comprehensive gerontological research, competencies and scholarly skills.
