Overview
In addition to valuable professional skills training and experience in teaching, all graduates of the Chemistry and Biotechnology PhD program at Tufts University have led one or more independent research projects while being mentored by faculty at the top of their fields.
You will learn how to find, understand, and critically evaluate primary literature, and you will learn how to write, display, and communicate chemical science information for both nonscientific and expert audiences. You'll also learn about other important aspects of research including matters of safety, ethics, integrity, diversity, and inclusion.
