Overview
The Teaching and Leadership Ph.D. program at the University of North Dakota emphasizes original research, scholarship, and prepares educational leaders to effectively address current issues facing schools and society.
UND's program provides a mentorship model of scholarship and research. Graduate students complete educational research apprenticeships with self-selected faculty mentors who have common research interests.
Careers
Graduates from the program work at universities, community colleges, tribal colleges, in private industry and for nonprofit or government agencies that research and recommend educational practices and policy.
They become professors, researchers, scholars, school district resource personnel or educational specialists.
Recent graduates have been hired as program directors, assistant, associate & full professors, associate deans, deans, presidents at colleges and universities in North Dakota, the region, the U.S. and abroad.
