Overview
Clinical Education
Diverging from the traditional approach seen in many medical schools, our Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program offered by Kansas Health Science University offers students unique exposure to the clinical environment. Through a comprehensive curriculum that includes standardized patient encounters, human-patient simulations, interprofessional education activities, an ultrasound program, and clinical skills labs, our students gain practical and essential experience in identifying and addressing patient needs. Our program empowers students to make a positive difference in patients’ lives long before they embark on their clinical rotations.
Additionally, our DO program provides students with a foundation to work within any sector of health care they desire, apart from direct patient care positions.
Technology plays a crucial role in the medical field and will continue to do so while it adapts and advances. To prepare students for the ever-evolving landscape of medicine, our program utilizes state-of-the-art technologies to enhance clinical research and help students develop expertise using modern medical devices. Our Simulation Center and training modules are key to providing the knowledge and hands-on experiences required to use emerging medical technologies successfully.
