General requirements
- Please provide all prior academic transcripts; a current resume or c.v.; three letters of recommendation attesting to your qualifications, promise, and preparation for graduate study in the social sciences; a personal statement addressing why you seek to pursue a Ph.D. or M.S. in our program and area of research interest, and providing evidence of an ability to succeed in graduate-level quantitative methods courses; and a recent writing sample that demonstrates potential to succeed in a research-oriented degree.
- GRE General preferred, LSAT and/or GMAT accepted for PhD. No test requirement for the MS degree.
- Please discuss your motivation for pursuing a degree in Public Affairs/Community Development. Describe how your research agenda and civic interests fit with our department and faculty. Discuss your background and experience, and how this degree will benefit your future.
