About the program
Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology students and faculty at the University of California, Riverside endeavor to generate a continuous output of research and information in their respective fields.
Be it Philosophy or Plant Pathology, the students and faculty at CMDB strive to remain at the forefront of their departments which include the Molecular, Cell, and Systems Biology Department (in which the CMDB program is housed), and participants from other departments, including Botany and Plant Sciences, Biochemistry, and Bioengineering.

General requirements
- A bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited institution. Applicants with strong academic records but with deficiencies in preparation for graduate training may be admitted and must make-up their deficiencies in the first two years of residence.
General requirements for admission include:
- Last two years' Undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or better and
- GRE Verbal and Quantitative Scores of 300 or better combined (this requirement is optional)
- TOEFL (for International Applicants)
