About the program
Current research programs by department faculty are in the broadly defined areas of organic, medicinal and biological chemistry, biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, biomedical and materials sciences.
Our faculty at Florida Atlantic University are leading the way towards the discovery of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for diverse diseases like cancer, infection, and neurodegenerative diseases.

- BS or BA in Chemistry or related field
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and Graduate GPA of 3.0 (if applicable)
- GRE test score of 150 (verbal) and 152 (quantitative)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Statement of personal objectives in essay form
- Resume
- A general evaluation of international transcripts is required; FAU will do the evaluation or it must be done by a NACES member
