History
IBS opened its gates in 1991 welcoming students who wished to study business in English. Following a successful institutional accreditation in 1997, IBS became a recognized private college in Hungary. In 2014, IBS moved to the north of Budapest and is now offering a real campus experience with 3 brand new buildings in a business enviroment.

Research
Research is an integral part of IBS’s mission and work. It is supported by the present Research Statement, the purpose of which is to ensure that the school can produce a significant volume of high quality work in a sustainable way.
IBS believes in research topics that are not only in line with the current scientific views, but at the same time are also applicable to real life cases. It supports academic projects which aim to synthesise knowledge from different fields, which can bring well-grounded answers to the complex questions and challenges of our time.
Career
- The Career Office aims to continuously maintain, strengthen and further develop our corporate network, involve the business world into our education and get our students and faculty involved in the business world.
- We offer assistance in CV writing, motivation letters, career planning and job search.
Many young adults, who are at the beginning of their careers already know that writing a great CV can be challenging. Therefore, the Career Office holds a CV counselling session every month.
- We organise “Big Day”, an exclusive job fair with our strategic partners where our students can get to know the internships, placements and other job offers that our partners provide.

Housing services
The on-campus residence hall offers comfortable accommodation in well-equipped en suite rooms and high-speed internet access in common areas. Only 30 minutes from the city centre, the newly built residence hall offers cosy rooms overlooking the garden and provides a unique and peaceful residence experience. Rooms can be occupied by one person or shared with another student. Each room has its own bathroom and there are communal kitchens at the disposal of students.
Library services
The IBS Library houses all the essential basic literature used in day-to-day coursework. The collection consists of 15,000 copies of books, 3,000 dissertations and 30 journal titles (hard copy). In addition, hard copies of the most well-known international business journals and magazines are available as well.
Campus life
IBS campus in Budapest, consisting of three beautifully restored architectural heritage buildings, is located in Graphisoft Park in Óbuda, directly by the Danube and is an ideal venue for education. The Park hosts over 60 international and Hungarian companies, including Microsoft, SAP, Canon or Samsung, and provides a live business environment for our school. This enables us to exploit the implied potential in full in the interest of our students and graduates. The campus also includes a residence hall for our students.
