Overview
Our Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences program at Rutgers University provides research-oriented training leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in basic animal physiology. A major emphasis of our program is on endocrine physiology with research conducted at the organismal, cellular, and molecular levels.
The members of our graduate faculty come from many different departments across Rutgers, including Animal Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, Food Science, Genetics, Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Pediatrics.

- Personal statement, official transcript(s), resume, and three letters of recommendation.
- The GRE General test is optional for both Ph.D. and MS applicants.
- In your personal statement (up to 1,000 words), describe your academic achievements, research experience, leadership skills, commitment to graduate school, examples illustrating your resilience and adaptability during your education, and how have you contributed to or supported intellectual and/or cultural diversity in higher education and science. Please also identify at least three faculty whose research you are interested in for your graduate training.
