History
The history starts over a hundred years ago when the Yorkshire College was first founded and Political Economy was taught, and takes us on a journey through the history of the people and business courses studied at the University of Leeds over the years to present day.

Library services
Enjoy free access to one of the UK's largest libraries. Spread over four sites, our University library includes collections of international significance. The library's website also links you to a range of online journals and other resources.
ICT services
Leeds is making computers accessible to all staff. You can use computers, with internet access, in the LOGIK (Learning Opportunities for Gaining Information and Knowledge) centre, library, and in cafés around campus. You can also get access to specialist research services.
Campus life
The Business School is based on the western edge of the University of Leeds campus. It is currently housed in five buildings, which include the impressively renovated 19th century Maurice Keyworth building, the Newlyn Building, which opened in 2019, and the recently refurbished Charles Thackrah and Clarendon buildings. In September 2021 we officially opened The Esther Simpson building – an exciting new facility for the Business School.
Sports facilities
Students gain discounted access to the University’s £12.2 million sports centre, the Edge, which boasts a 25-metre swimming pool, sports courts and a climbing wall. Our sports clubs and societies allow you to get involved in sport whatever your ability or ambition and our performance sport programme supports the development of elite athletes.
Student clubs
Leeds University Union runs more than 300 student-led clubs and societies, so you’ll find something whatever your interests.
