The Department of Pharmaceutics at University of Washington works to promote the efficacy and safety of therapeutics through inclusive teaching and transformative research in the drug delivery and disposition sciences.
Features
- Through work that span from molecular, cell- and organ-based studies in humans and animals and mathematical modeling and simulation techniques, our research and teaching focus on understanding the processes that determine the exposure and pharmacological response to drugs.
- You will be trained in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and pharmacometrics through basic biochemical, cellular and molecular techniques, quantitative analytical methods, and in the elaboration of mathematical models (e.g., PBPK modeling and simulation) and simulations to describe the pharmacokinetics of drugs and their actions.

- 4-year bachelor’s degree in a biological or related sciences
- GPA > 3.0
- College-level mathematics including differential equations, or equivalent to Differential Calculus, MATH 124 (5 credits)
- Meet the UW Graduate School English requirement
- GRE is recommended
