Overview
About the program
The Physics Department at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee exhibits exceptional strength in several areas: experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics; in structural biophysics and protein dynamics and function; and in cosmology, relativistic astrophysics, and gravitational-wave/multimessenger astronomy.
Many students go on to careers that involve teaching physics at universities and colleges throughout the world, and the graduate faculty has devised a program that helps encourage the development of solid teaching skills.
