Koç University was founded in 1993 as a non-profit private university in Istanbul, Turkey. Since its establishment, Koç University has become one of the leading universities in Turkey, distinguished by notable contributions to the elevation of education, knowledge and service both domestically and beyond.
With its liberal arts paradigm, Koç University guarantees that students receive a diverse and comprehensive education while concurrently gaining expertise in a particular academic discipline. Students are required to complete a comprehensive core liberal arts program and establish specialization in their chosen fields through individually designed elective programs. Koç University’s main campus consists of sixty buildings: academic colleges, administrative offices, laboratories, library, social and sports facilities, health center, student dormitories and faculty residences. University’s dormitories have a capacity of 2.200 students. The classrooms and laboratories are equipped with the latest technological infrastructure and support systems. On-campus conveniences include a grocery store, hair dresser, full-service bank, loastre saloon, cafeterias and other dining options.
Located in the hills of Sariyer, Istanbul, Koç University is twenty minutes from the Black Sea beaches, surrounded by charming villages and natural landscapes, and connected to the city center through a plethora of convenient transportation options. Koç University has four other campus locations: West Campus, Nisantasi Campus, RCAC Beyoglu and Istinye Campus.
